Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great fame with the stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift was interested in music from an early time. She swiftly rose through the ranks, starting by playing roles in the theater for children and then performing in front of an audience of thousands. Swift was just 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match. The following year Swift began to write songs and picked up the guitar. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania with her parents in Tennessee to Hendersonville when she was 13 years old to dedicate her time in contacting label representatives from the country genre.
